At Proton International London, we offer an advanced form of radiotherapy known as proton beam therapy (PBT).
Treatment is available to private patients from the UK and worldwide at our treatment centre in the esteemed University College Hospital in London, in partnership with University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH).
If you are here, then perhaps you are researching cancer treatment for yourself or a loved one. Firstly, we understand how overwhelming this can feel, and we’re here to offer clarity and reassurance. Our website is designed to give you all of the information you need about proton beam therapy to help you make informed decisions and take your next step with confidence.
What is CAR T-cell Therapy?
The innovative treatment is genetically engineered for each individual, giving you more personalized treatment options than ever before.CAR T-cell therapy is a type of cancer treatment called immunotherapy. It is FDA approved for adults with relapsed lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Immunotherapy uses your body’s own cells to fight cancer.
The first step is to collect T-cells from your blood through a simple process called apheresis. Those cells are shipped to a laboratory where they are genetically engineered to produce special receptors (CAR) that identify and attack cancer cells. The CAR T-cells are multiplied, frozen, and shipped back to Sylvester.
Then, low dose chemotherapy treatments are given to you to make room for the CAR T-cells, which are delivered in one infusion. This treatment requires hospitalization so the patient can be closely monitored for side effects or complications.

Who We Are
Proton beam therapy (PBT) is an advanced form of radiotherapy used to treat cancer (see the types of cancer we treat below). Unlike conventional radiotherapy, it delivers a more powerful and precise dose to the tumour, reducing damage to surrounding healthy tissue. This can lower the risk of side effects and, in turn, improve quality of life. This is particularly helpful in treating children, whose bodies are still developing, or in adults, where vital organs are at risk from long-term side effects.
Who We Are
WORLDWIDE MEDICAL SERVICES (ONCOLOGY SPECIALISTS) is part of a global oncology network dedicated to helping patients access world-class cancer treatment anywhere in the world.
We work closely with leading cancer hospitals and specialist oncologists across countries including the USA (California, Florida, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska) and other international medical centres.
Cancers We help access
In the UK, proton beam therapy isn’t approved for every type of cancer, and in many cases, conventional radiotherapy remains the most appropriate treatment.
Proton Beam Therapy is not suitable for every type of cancer, and treatment eligibility depends on individual medical assessment, including cancer type, location, and stage. In many cases, conventional radiotherapy or other standard oncology treatments may remain the most appropriate and effective option.
At WORLDWIDE MEDICAL SERVICES (ONCOLOGY SPECIALISTS), we ensure every patient receives a thorough evaluation and access to the most suitable treatment pathway recommended by leading international oncology specialists.
